Some great reflections from you and your grandmother, Laura! It’s so interesting to read about some of the things that were second nature to her and her generation that we are now having to re-introduce and re-teach to help us live more sustainable lifestyles. Not just minimal or reusable packaging, but shopping local, eating seasonal, not wasting and the sharing economy (not that it would have been called that back in the day!). It’s actually quite shocking to reflect on how far we’ve strayed from those common sense practices in the space of a generation or two.
